Aims Community College Recognized as a 2026 Healthy Workplace Leader
Health Links®, a nonprofit program of the Center for Health, Work & Environment at the Colorado School of Public Health, awarded this honor. This is the sixth year Aims has been awarded this designation.
The Certified Healthy Workplace Leader designation is the highest level of recognition offered by Health Links. This certification recognizes organizations that continually demonstrate the highest level of commitment and dedicate meaningful resources to supporting team members and promoting community health and safety.
“This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace where employees feel supported, valued and empowered to thrive,” said Dr. Leah L. Bornstein, Aims Community College CEO and President. “When we invest in the well-being of our team, we strengthen our college and the communities we serve.”
Recognition as a Healthy Workplace is based on an organization’s score on Health Links’ Healthy Workplace Assessment®, an evidence-based online questionnaire. Health Links not only offers an Assessment but also provides personalized advising and access to proven resources to help organizations and their teams champion health and safety.
Aims fosters a culture of well-being by offering a wide range of resources that support employees’ physical, mental and emotional health. From wellness events and health screenings to fitness initiatives and ergonomic support, employees are encouraged to stay active, prevent illness and create healthy habits that carry into their daily lives. Personalized health coaching and ergonomic workspace evaluations further ensure that individuals have the tools and guidance they need to feel their best.
Equally important is Aims’ commitment to mental wellness. Employees have access to counseling services, stress management resources, and programs designed to promote balance and resilience. Through workshops, digital tools and comprehensive support programs, Aims builds a workplace environment where employees can succeed and feel supported.
One of the highlights of the college’s wellness offerings is the Physical Education and Recreation Center (PERC) on the Greeley Campus. This 46,000-square-foot facility is free for Aims employees and features a functional fitness space, a weight room, an indoor track, a basketball court and more. The PERC also provides personal training services for employees. Employees can also use fitness resources at other campuses, including an outdoor fitness trail in Fort Lupton and a workout room at the Windsor location.
Aims also provides an outstanding benefits package. Full-time employees receive 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage, with 85% coverage for spouses and dependents. The college offers a generous array of paid time-off options to support work-life balance.
