Aims Testing Center Achieves NCTA Certification

Aims Community College Greeley Campus Testing Center has achieved the top certification offered by the National College Testing Association (NCTA). This non-profit organization promotes professionalism and quality within the testing world. Aims Testing Center excelled in meeting all testing best practices and professional guidelines laid out by NCTA.

The Aims Testing Center delivered more than 4,000 exams while serving Aims students, faculty, staff and members of the community at large in the last fiscal year. While Aims Testing Center services offer College Student Inventory and Accuplacer placement for incoming Aims students, distance and online test proctoring and expanded services to Aims students and community members.

  • PearsonVUE testing (including but not limited to the National Registry for EMT’s, CompTIA, GED, etc.)
  • HESI A2 Nursing Entrance Exams
  • TEAS- ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills
  • CLEP- College Level Examination Program
  • DSST- DANTES Subject Standardized Tests
  • PSI/CATS FAA testing (FAA written tests for Private Pilot Airplane and Helicopter, Commercial Pilot Airplane and Helicopter, Flight Instructor, Instrument Rating, Unmanned Aircraft Certifications, etc.)
  • Additional certifications and testing opportunities

Franz Jacob, Testing Center Program Coordinator, reflected on this achievement, “This certification became a top priority, as the review is an arduous and time consuming process to balance with our dedication to service. I’m most proud of the Testing Center team and the work we do for Aims and the community. The NCTA certification process would not have been completed without a total team effort focused and dedicated to this initiative.”

Considered the gold standard of testing, NCTA requires demonstration of a rigorous set of best practices and guidelines with a site visit of successful centers before granting final certification. Multiple levels of evaluation include:

  • Physical facilities
  • Test integrity
  • Confidentiality
  • Staff training and procedures
  • Program evaluations
  • Contractual processes
  • Staffing, services and reporting
  • Public relations
