  • Physical Education and Recreation
  • Study the anatomical basis of human movement in addition to practicing various weight training techniques. Students will learn to develop and implement exercise programs while preparing for a nationally recognized personal training certification.
  • This comprehensive certificate is earned after a student earns both the Health and Fitness certificate and Exercise Specialist certificate. Students will be trained in First Aid and CPR and will also be eligible to sit for a national personal training exam, being recognized as Certified Personal Trainer if passed. This certificate will prepare students for a variety of jobs in the health and wellness field.
  • Explore the six components of wellness while learning how nutrition, exercise, substance abuse, stress management and more can affect the human body. Students will also be introduced to the discipline of kinesiology, learn how to care for athletic injuries and become First Aid and CPR certified.
  • This Associate of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Health and Human Performance can help you launch a career in health and fitness upon graduation or continue your education with 60 credits that will successfully transfer to one of three participating four-year universities in Colorado. Study subjects including: personal health, nutrition, overall wellness, body movement, performance output, body composition, physiology, kinesiology and basic injury care and prevention.
