  • Learn how to use industry standard software with this graphic design certificate program. Advance your skills by also learning typography and layout.
  • Graphic Design and Rich Media

    Associate of Applied Science
    Learn web fundamentals for graphic designers, including HTML and web design and do a deep dive into Adobe design software used by industry professionals. Practice everything you’ve learned and build a portfolio you can show to potential employers and choose between an internship with a local company and an in-depth web presentation software class.
  • Learn basic and advanced graphic design techniques, including photo manipulation and drawing tools. Learn to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, the software most commonly used by graphic designers.
  • Learn various foundational skills that support the work animators do, including digital effects, sound design, sculpting for digital media and motion graphic design. All course credits for this two-semester certificate can apply toward the two-year animation degree program at Aims.
  • This comprehensive certificate is earned after a student earns both the Health and Fitness certificate and Exercise Specialist certificate. Students will be trained in First Aid and CPR and will also be eligible to sit for a national personal training exam, being recognized as Certified Personal Trainer if passed. This certificate will prepare students for a variety of jobs in the health and wellness field.
  • Explore the six components of wellness while learning how nutrition, exercise, substance abuse, stress management and more can affect the human body. Students will also be introduced to the discipline of kinesiology, learn how to care for athletic injuries and become First Aid and CPR certified.

Learn about these time periods through the perspectives of gender, class, and ethnicity while developing, practicing and strengthening the skills historians use while constructing knowledge in this discipline. This is a liberal arts degree with designation (DWD).

    Explore the historical and cultural role of the media in society while learning the basics of news research, writing, reporting and interviewing as well as how to verify sources and photojournalism. Apply your learning during an in-depth journalism internship on a subject you’re eager to explore.

    Learn how to clearly, accurately and fairly report media news while creating journalistic pieces for internet-based media. This comprehensive 2-year liberal arts program prepares students to go on to complete a bachelor's degree at a 4-year school as they embark on a future career in journalism.
