Hi! I’m Janet Chase, a proud Aardvark Alum who never really left Student Life (because why would I?). I discovered my passion for higher education as a student programmer planning events for students, by students—which led me to change my career goals from Mortuary Science (plot twist!) to earning a Master’s Degree in Leadership in Higher Education. Now, I get to live that dream every day as the Director of Student Life.
My favorite part of my job is watching students discover their talents, strengths, and confidence—often before they even realize they have them. I’m especially proud of the many former Student Life Leaders who found their passion for higher education through their involvement and now work alongside me at Aims. Watching that full-circle moment never gets old. When I’m not on campus, I’m cheering on my 3-year-old granddaughter at horseback riding lessons or attempting to be a successful matchmaker (results may vary).
Student Life is where I found my passion, my purpose, and my professional home—and I love helping students discover theirs every single day.
