Professional Background
Jared teaches Composition, Technical Writing, Literature, and Humanities. He holds an M.A. in English/Creative Writing from the University of Northern Colorado, and he has published fiction and nonfiction in multiple magazines and journals.
Jared received the Rosenberry Award for Excellence in fiction, the 2012-2013 Award for Excellence in Teaching, as chosen by students, and the 2015-2016 Faculty of the Year Award chosen by his colleagues. He reads and writes regularly because he once endured a lengthy period where he did little of either, and the resulting malaise was felt by everyone.
