The Outstanding Postsecondary Agriculture Program Award recognizes exemplary postsecondary institutions and full-time young farmer and adult agriculture education programs. To qualify, young farmer and adult agriculture education program staff must devote at least 50 percent of their teaching time to this level of instruction. The award is sponsored by Monsanto as a special project of the National FFA (Future Farmers of America) Foundation.

“I’m very proud of our Agriculture program,” said Aims President and CEO Dr. Leah L. Bornstein. “The faculty and staff in this program are truly dedicated to their students’ learning experience at Aims, and I’m thrilled that they have been recognized by the NAAE.”

Amy McFarland, Aims Agricultural Sciences and Technology Program Chair will accept the award at the 2018 National Associate of Agriculture Educators Convention in San Antonio, Texas, November 27 – December 1.

“We’re extremely honored to receive this award and recognition at a national level,” said Amy. “Aims prides itself in being a learner-centered college, and the Agricultural Sciences and Technology department exemplifies this approach to teaching and learning. I feel so fortunate to oversee such an outstanding program.”
