Professional Background

Allison has been teaching college writing since 2007, during her graduate work in Montana where she focused on Victorian literature. After moving back to Colorado, she earned a secondary education license in language arts at CSU, and she taught English and Literature part-time at Front Range Community College from 2010 to 2014. Allison began her full-time faculty position at Aims in English and Humanities in 2014. 

Allison currently serves as the coordinator for the Writers Community. She is also the recipient of the 2020-2021 Exemplary Online Teaching, 2018-2019 AFA Faculty of the Year and 2016-2017 Exemplary Online Course Awards.
