Professional Background

Pengfei moved to Colorado for his Ph.D. in 2014. He has a passion for nature and field-based geology. His areas of expertise include biostratigraphy, sedimentology, and statistical analysis in geoscience. He has done fieldwork in British Columbia, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The courses he teaches at Aims include Physical Geology, Historical Geology, and Environmental Geology. Pengfei’s goal is to promote Earths Science awareness and improve Earths Science education.

Personal Interests

Pengfei loves bikes and enjoys exploring new places on his bike. He also loves the great outdoors in the Rocky Mountains. While at home, he likes to read books and recharge his mind.
