The Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors - International (ACCED-I) named Aims the winner of the Outstanding Institutional Achievement Award for a Single Event. The award recognizes institutions that demonstrate exceptional success in planning, executing, and evaluating a specific initiative. The judging criteria focus on innovation, impact, and an event's ability to enhance the institutional profile. The ACCED-I presented the awards at the Annual Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, in March.
The award is a significant milestone for Aims, as the college was selected from a highly competitive field of nominees representing some of the most prestigious institutions in the country. Aims Community College stood out among fellow nominees, including Purdue University, the University of Colorado Boulder, Florida Institute of Technology, Colorado College, and the University of Vermont.
The Spotlight Speaker Series was designed to provide unique, high-impact experiences for Aims students and the broader community. “To see the vision of the Spotlight Speakers Series rewarded on an international stage is a testament to the team’s dedication,” said Christina Edwards, Director of Aims Events.
