Aims Community College will again offer a free science and technology program for Greeley-Evans Weld County School District 6 high school students in July.
Beginning in Fall 2023, Aims Community College will offer an Associate of Engineering Science (AES) degree that transfers to the Colorado School of Mines. This program will allow local students to start closer to home, prepare students for a larger institution and lower the cost of a high-quality college education.
All are welcome to these free public events on Aims Community College campuses in March 2023. Aims Community College hosts events designed to create shared experiences and deliver first-hand exposure to programs and campuses.
The need for additional mental health counseling and resources in schools is an issue that is becoming ever more critical. Since 2019, the rates of anxiety, depression, and self-harm have been rising at an alarming rate among children and adults. Aims saw this need and began providing more resources to improve students' overall wellness. One example of the college’s dedication to this effort is the Aims Coordinated Assistance and Resource Education (CARE) team.
When Zack McCormick started at Aims Community College, he was still determining his career aspirations. Like many people beginning college, he had some possibilities in mind but needed to explore his options and interests. Then something finally clicked. After taking a political science course, he was inspired to pursue a government and international relations degree.
