Aims Community College is launching a new financial aid initiative to support first-time college students. The Strong Start Scholarship, which will first be available in Fall 2025, awards eligible students with up to $1,000 in financial support for the first academic year.
Aims alumna Mel Calderon is an accomplished artist, muralist and illustrator with roots in Greeley. Mel’s journey and time at Aims Community College are transformative, guiding her through personal and creative growth, with a career with Disney and as an independent artist.
Aims Community College is transforming its approach to fostering student belonging and inclusion this fall. The existing Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) is reimagined as the MOSAIC: The Multicultural Office for Student Affinity, Inclusion, and Community. This transition enhances the College’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and self-advocacy while emphasizing student community-building.
Two recent initiatives are removing barriers for those interested in earning Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) certifications at Aims Community College. A recently awarded federal grant is helping cover the cost of training, and a new language learning program is providing support to non-native English speakers to obtain their certifications.
