How to Apply to the Police Studies Associate Degree Program

If You Have Not Completed the Peace Officer Academy

If you want to earn a Police Studies associate degree at Aims and have not yet completed the Peace Officer Academy and become Colorado POST certified, start by applying to the Academy.

If You Are Colorado POST-Certified

If you have completed the Peace Officer Academy at Aims or elsewhere, follow these instructions to apply to earn your Police Studies associate degree. Have a copy of your Colorado POST certificate ready to upload.

Step One: Apply to Aims.

Applying to Aims takes just a few minutes, and it's free to apply.

Step Two: Choose your degree pathway.

Select Police Studies A.A.S. as your degree pathway. 

Step Three: Activate your Aims email address.

You will need your aims.edu email address to navigate the application process and receive further application and program instructions. 

Step Four: Email your Colorado POST certification to the program director.

Email your Colorado POST certificate to: crj@aims.edu.

After applying, you will receive an email with further instructions, including how to apply any prior learning credits to your program pathway.
