Mammography Technologist Certificate
This certificate is only available to students with a radiologic technology associate degree and current ARRT certification. Learn fundamental mammography skills, gain clinical experience in mammography exams and prepare for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam to become a certified mammography technologist. Learn mammography techniques such as positioning, equipment, image production and radiation safety.
Specific Courses:
RTE-2050 - Mammography
Introduces the principles of mammography to include safe patient management and assessment. This course focuses on digital and tomographic imaging, and mammographic positioning and procedures. The course covers quality control (QC) of mammographic equipment, image production, and image evaluation. Differential tuition rates apply. Restricted to Radiologic Technology majors only.
