Program Admission Requirements

How to Apply to the Aims Medical Front Office Certificate Program

  1. Apply to Aims Community College. Once you've applied and been admitted, you will receive an Aims email address and Aims Number. You’ll need both before continuing with the Medical Front Office Certificate Program.
  2. Attend a mandatory orientation before the semester starts. 
    1. 10/28/2024: Medical Assisting and Medical Front Office orientation from 5:30-7:30 PM in Room AHS250.
    2. 11/12/2024: Medical Assisting and Medical Front Office orientation from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM in Room AHS111.
  3. Review the Allied Health Professional Prerequisite Checklist to verify your current immunizations.
  4. Be prepared to pass a background check and drug screen without any disqualifiers. Although marijuana is legal in Colorado, it is not permitted when working with patients. List of disqualifying offenses.

HPR 1040 - Comprehensive Medical Terminology

If you’re working toward a Medical Clinical Assistant or Medical Front Office Certificate, you may be able to skip the Comprehensive Medical Terminology course by taking the HPR 1040 proficiency challenge exam. This option is ideal if you already have a strong understanding of medical terminology and want to test out of the course.
