Agriculture Business

Associate of Applied Science

Study foundational business, economic, finance, and marketing and communications principles related to agricultural businesses while learning about world population dynamics and issues related to food supply. Gain general agricultural knowledge and skills in livestock and crops, precision agriculture and information technology while getting hands-on experience as an employee intern in the agribusiness industry.
Animal Science

Associate of Applied Science

Study global food systems, agricultural economics, animal anatomy, physiology, nutrition and health, housing, feeds and feeding, and live animal carcass evaluation with lecture and hands-on lab experiences. Elective courses may include agricultural management, finance, accounting and marketing.
Animation

Associate of Applied Science

Learn the fundamentals of 2D and 3D animation techniques, from keyframing to creating characters and character poses and then tweening (creating images “in between” frames) poses together. Practice what you’ve learned by working in teams, explore business for creatives and begin building a portfolio and learn how to market yourself to potential employers.
Audio Production

Associate of Applied Science

Core coursework introduces you to the concepts of mass media and the principles of audio for music, film and video. Gain hands-on skills for recording, mixing, mastering, MIDI and sound design on professional digital workstations.
Automotive Collision Repair Technology

Associate of Applied Science

Gain knowledge and hands-on skills in automotive collision repair shop management and safety, structural and non-structural auto repair, metal finishing, movable automotive glass and hardware, metal welding and cutting, surface preparation and refinishing, panel repair and replacement. Learn estimating, customer relations, sales, and structural damage and diagnosis.
Basic Animation Certificate

Learn the basics of 2D and 3D animation. Master storyboarding techniques, tweening, character drawing and design and animate scenes using advanced techniques seen in movies and video games.

In-district high school students can earn this certificate in two semesters and receive dual high school and college credit.
Basic Web Design Certificate

Certificate

This certificate is geared toward high school students in concurrent enrollment at Aims who want to learn the basics of web design. Learn design principles in page layout, navigation, typography for the web, style sheets and editing for web browsers. This is a Graphic Design and Rich Media certificate with a focus on computer information systems.
Emergency Medical Technician

Certificate

This fifteen-week EMT certificate program prepares you to become a basic EMT. Learn anatomy and physiology and how to assess and treat medical and trauma emergencies.
Exercise Specialist Certificate

Certificate

Study the anatomical basis of human movement in addition to practicing various weight training techniques. Students will learn to develop and implement exercise programs while preparing for a nationally recognized personal training certification.
Fire Academy

Certificate

This certificate covers Firefighter I training and Hazmat Operations Level I without the EMT Training.
