Students may be eligible for refunds for fees during their college enrollment that may include financial aid, dropped classes, overpayment and other fees. Aims partners with Heartland ECSI, to offer the RefundSelect program, which allows students to receive refund monies via direct deposit or a paper check.  

How To Get Your Money

1. Watch your myAims Email

Students will receive an email about RefundSelect sign up with their Heartland key code within 60 days before the new semester begins for new students.  Follow the Get Started steps to complete the one-time setup.

2. Choose Your Refund Method

To choose how you want to receive your money, log into MyAims and click on "Paying for College” link. Scroll to bottom of the webpage for the RefundSelect link.  Login with your Heartland login and update your Delivery method. Do this by the beginning of the semester or your refund may be issued via paper check automatically. 

3. When to Expect Your Refund

Aims processes refunds on a regular basis and RefundSelect will send you an email when they process the refund per your chosen method.

Bank account Funds are electronically deposited into an existing account. Provide your existing Bank Routing Number and Account Number. Please confirm that you entered your Account information correctly to avoid any delays in receiving your refund. Once the credit appears on your student account, your refund will be in your account and available within 2-5 days.
Paper Check Funds will be issued from RefundSelect and mailed to you. Choose the paper check option. Please make sure to review the mailing address. If incorrect, contact Aims and update your address and RefundSelect will be updated in 48 hours Once the credit appears on your student account, your refund will be mailed and you should receive it within 10 days.
