Peace Officer Academy Application

Applications for Fall 2024 Will Be Available in Early May

Below you will find instructions for applying to the Aims police academy.

Note: It takes three to five weeks to compile all the required documents to apply for the Police Academy. Please plan accordingly.

Follow the steps below to apply to the Aims Basic Peace Officer Academy Certificate program.

Step One: BEFORE Applying, Email the Aims Police Academy Department

Email crj@aims.edu and request instructions for submitting your application packet and associated documents.

Step Two: Download the Police Academy Application and Firearms documents.

Download and carefully read the Application Packet that applies to you—either sponsored (by a police department or law enforcement agency) or non-sponsored.
Download and carefully read the Firearms General Information document.

Step Three: Apply to Aims Community College

If you're not already a student, apply for admission to Aims. It's free to apply and the application takes about 15 minutes to fill out.
Activate your Aims.edu student email address.

Step Four: Fill out and submit your completed application

Send your completed application, along with all required materials, to crj@aims.edu.
