Aims was awarded a comprehensive Basic Needs Campus designation from the Colorado Department of Higher Education, which recognizes the work Aims does to help its students succeed. The CDHE recognizes institutions that provide students with resources for essential needs, including food security, housing stability, mental health, and financial wellness.

Area Higher Ed Hailed for Meeting Students’ Basic Needs

The Colorado Department of Higher Education recognized Aims and other area colleges and universities with its highest level of Basic Needs Campus Designation. It acknowledges a commitment to ensuring students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed in college and beyond.

Students Telling Their Tales From the Emerald Isle

Students who participated in the first-ever student study abroad program to Ireland will share their educational experience through photos in the Study Abroad Student Showcase. The Student Abroad Showcase will be on display from 2–4 p.m., July 9 in Student Commons Room 114 on the Aims Greeley Campus.

A rare Maverick TwinJet 1500 has been donated to Aims Community College, providing students in the Aircraft Maintenance Training program with hands-on experience with advanced aviation technology.

Aims Community College Students Earn Top Finishes at SkillsUSA Nationals

Three Aims students competed in the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference held June 1-5. Diana Perry earned a silver medal in post-secondary Facility Management, finishing second nationally. Cloud Kline placed fourth in the post-secondary Collision Damage Appraisal event, while Megan Pierret finished sixth in the post-secondary Automotive Refinishing category.

Aims Community College received a donated Maverick TwinJet 1500 for its Aircraft Maintenance Training program. Students will gain hands-on experience with modern aviation technology, including an upgraded avionics package. The donation is considered a significant boost to the college's new FAA-certified maintenance program.

Rare Kitbuilt Jet Donated for A&P Training

Aircraft maintenance students at Aims Community College in Colorado will be learning and practicing their craft on a Maverick TwinJet 1500, thanks to a donation by a local pilot. The Maverick TwinJet 1500 is a kit aircraft and one of only four to ever fly.
