Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy Announces First Colorado College to Join Air Traffic Controller Training Program

U.S. Transportation Secretary Duffy announced the Federal Aviation Administration has greenlit Aims in Colorado as the next school to implement the Enhanced Air Traffic – Collegiate Training Initiative. Aims is the 11th institution to join the program and the 1st in Colorado.

Kristie Skala, Aims Community College’s professor of Emergency Medical and Paramedic Services, was honored as the 2025 EMS Instructor of the Year by the Northeast Colorado Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council.

Comedian Mimi Hayes will perform at Aims on March 4. The event is free and open to the public. Aims Student Accessibility Services is hosting the show to raise awareness of Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month.

Disability activist and comedian Mimi Hayes will help Aims Community College put a spotlight on traumatic brain injury with a live performance in March. 4. Hayes, a Colorado native and a traumatic brain injury survivor herself, said her comedy is rooted in a life-changing medical crisis

Pulitzer Prize-Winning Reporter to Speak in March at Aims in Greeley

A Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter, Charles Duhigg, will speak at Aims next month, replacing University of Northern Colorado graduate “Sully” Sullenberger as the final speaker in the college’s Spotlight Speaker Series.

Aims Community College has announced that Alquist will serve as the inaugural industry tenant at its Workforce Innovation Center, and the firm has donated $25,000 for student scholarships. 

3D Concreate Printing Workshop

Greeley-Based Alquist Emerges as Leading 3D Construction Printing Company

Alquist had partnered with Aims in 2023 and helped the college integrate 3D-printing equipment and operations into the school’s construction management program. Alquist and Aims collaborated to offer an online 3D-printing course in 2024 and began launching hands-on physical in-person courses in 2025.

Colorado’s Aims Community College announced Tuesday that it has been designated an Enhanced Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative institution by the Federal Aviation Administration following an on-site evaluation in January.

Aims Community College announced its students earned top placements in automotive collision repair and refinishing at a SkillsUSA regional competition. The competition brought together 30 total student competitors, including 20 from Aims and 10 from Morgan Community College.

Aims Community College to Offer Free Tax Assistance, E-filing Help

Aims Community College will offer free tax preparation and e-filing assistance beginning next month. Individuals and households that made less than $70,000 in 2025 can receive assistance from IRS-certified Aims students and community volunteers.
