Borrow From Other Libraries
Kiefer Library partners with Marmot Library Network to allow Aims students, staff and faculty to borrow items from Marmot member Libraries. Browse the Catalog to request items from these Libraries.
You can also request items from nearly 200 academic, public and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming through Prospector, a service including larger academic and public libraries.
Streaming videos are available through Prospector by refining your search to Projected medium and requesting titles that indicate you can Connect to Streaming Video. You can see the entire streaming video collection by searching for SILLVR (Streaming Interlibrary Loan for Video Resources) in Prospector.
Additionally, members of the Aims community may check out materials from the University of Northern Colorado University Libraries and the High Plains Library System. You will need to have a library card at these libraries to borrow their materials.
Any Colorado resident or student in-state attending a Colorado college or university may obtain a free Denver Public Library Card.
Registering online for an eCard provides access to hundreds of useful research databases.
With an eCard, you can also access eMedia resources, such as: Libby/Overdrive for eBooks eAudiobooks and eMagazines; Flipster for eMagazines; Freegal Music+ and Music Online; and The Shelf TV for streaming Spanish-language content for adults and children. These eMedia resources and more can be found in the databases A-Z list.
eCards expire after 4 years but can be converted to a permanent library card by bringing a valid government or school-issued picture ID to any Denver Public Library location. Some services and resources are not available with eCards.
