    Associate of Applied Science
    Learn the fundamentals of 2D and 3D animation techniques, from keyframing to creating characters and character poses and then tweening (creating images “in between” frames) poses together. Practice what you’ve learned by working in teams, explore business for creatives and begin building a portfolio and learn how to market yourself to potential employers.
  • Learn to produce 2D animations and 3D models and animations using industry standard software. Learn 2D animation techniques like tweening and keyframing and develop 3D models, set lights and animate scenes.
  • Learn the basics of 2D and 3D animation. Master storyboarding techniques, tweening, character drawing and design and animate scenes using advanced techniques seen in movies and video games.

    In-district high school students can earn this certificate in two semesters and receive dual high school and college credit.

  • This certificate is geared toward high school students in concurrent enrollment at Aims who want to learn the basics of web design. Learn design principles in page layout, navigation, typography for the web, style sheets and editing for web browsers. This is a Graphic Design and Rich Media certificate with a focus on computer information systems.
  • Learn how to use industry standard software with this graphic design certificate program. Advance your skills by also learning typography and layout.

    Associate of Applied Science
    Learn web fundamentals for graphic designers, including HTML and web design and do a deep dive into Adobe design software used by industry professionals. Practice everything you’ve learned and build a portfolio you can show to potential employers and choose between an internship with a local company and an in-depth web presentation software class.
  • Learn basic and advanced graphic design techniques, including photo manipulation and drawing tools. Learn to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, the software most commonly used by graphic designers.
  • Learn various foundational skills that support the work animators do, including digital effects, sound design, sculpting for digital media and motion graphic design. All course credits for this two-semester certificate can apply toward the two-year animation degree program at Aims.
  • Learn the basic skills you’ll need to design and build websites. Study basic coding practices, style sheets and HTML markup and learn how color, typography, layout and design principles combine to create websites. This is a Graphic Design and Rich Media certificate with a focus on computer information systems.
  • Build on skills gained while earning the web design certificate. Learn advanced techniques using style sheets, work with different content management systems and create content for mobile devices. This is a Graphic Design and Rich Media certificate with a focus on computer information systems.
