The CSI MUST be completed prior to scheduling an appointment with your Pathway Advisor. It takes about 15-30 minutes to complete, and it's free. It is a questionnaire, not a placement test, so no need to study or be nervous.
It can be completed through your myAims account under "Registration, Advising, and Graduation." If you need accommodations to take this assessment, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Academic Suspension results when a student on Multi-Term Probation does not show progress towards good academic standing.
Your next step is to:
- Appeal if there are extenuating circumstances
- Contact your Pathway Advisor as soon as possible to determine your next steps. For information on Academic Suspension Appeals, please refer to Aims' Academic Standards.
If your cumulative GPA falls below a 2.0, you go into what we call "First-Term Academic Probation." Your next step is to complete the First-Term Probation Workshop and Verification Form. Be sure to reach out to your Pathway advisor to help get you back on track.
If your cumulative GPA falls below a 2.0 for more than one term, you go into what we call "Multi-Term Probation." Your next step is to contact your Pathway advisor and complete an Academic Recovery Plan.
