Professional Background
Jaimie started her career working for the US Navy as a graduate student researcher specializing in vaccine development for Dengue Viruses in Silver Spring, Maryland. She moved to Colorado in 2006 and subsequently worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) until 2019. Jaimie specialized in vaccine development for mosquito borne viruses and development of diagnostic tests. Part of this time at the CDC, she helped with vaccine implementation in the South Eastern Pacific Region for Yellow Fever Virus.
In 2017, Jaimie started working part time at Front Range Community College and learned her passion for instruction at the community college level and has been working as an adjunct instructor primarily since 2019.
Personal Interests
Jaimie is an avid outdoorsperson and enjoys spending time with her family. She has a horse, three donkeys, a three-legged goat, two dogs, and a rabbit.
